Maria Moreyra Garlock, professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Princeton, describes the structural beauty and simplicity of thin-concrete shell structures built by Felix Candela during the mid 20th century. Garlock and David Billington curated an exhibit and coauthored a book on Candela (Felix Candela: Engineer, Builder, Structural Artist; Yale University Press, 2008). www.princeton.edu
